Frohe Weihnachten

In Austria and Germany it’s traditional to celebrate Christmas (Weihnachten) on the evening of the 24th. It’s called  der Heiliger Abend or heiligabend. This was may party look.

We had a delicious six-course meal and then the bf and I hit the bars. Well I guess we hit the bar since only two were actually open in the entire village and one looked stuffy. Either way we had a good time.

It's hard to tell but the buttons are sparkly.

I didn’t realize how yellow our lighting in the hotel room was until my bf took these photos (thanks Honey Bunny.) I am sure the fact that we chose a yellow sofa as the background didn’t help much. It’s just so cold outside and it’s usually raining or snowing or both. On our way to the city center yesterday it began to hail. I don’t have the proper hair for this weather.

sequin clutch- Club Monaco (Christmas present from my mom)

I am going to go back to sipping my hot cocoa, my second of the day, and then go swimming, or at least sit in the hot tub. A girl has to take advantage of such luxuries when given the chance!

Hope you all had or are having an amazing Christmas,

When I woke up I felt tired and lazy but knew I had to get going. After a cup of coffee I was still feeling tired and wanted to jump back into my cozy bed and pretend I had a fireplace to keep me warm and feel festive. This was of course not an option, I had a little girl’s birthday party to attend after all.

I went with an easy no brainer look; red lips, darker eyebrows, topknot, glasses and big comfy cardigan. I show up at the party and felt over dressed. Yes, I wrote OVER dressed. I was completely out of place amongst babies, kids, teens, men and women. You see I was the only one not wearing Uggs and/or a a hoodie with a team logo of sports. I guess I still have some work to do to get used to the way things are done in Idaho.

3 Cheers for the Military

Chanel.com

This is a cheaper option for the military look this season if you don't want to have to buy the coat. The new Les Khakis de Chanel Nail Polish. I was able to get two out of three the day they were released in London (thanks Jean-Marc!)

Unfortunately I am missing the Khaki Rose, which is beautiful, but I am sure I will survive. I finally got some time alone today after coming home from London and spending some time with a girlfriend who came to visit form Egypt and played with my new colors. The Khaki Vert is my favorite though I must admit I have the perfect skin tone for this color. The Khaki Brun is a little more grayer than it seems in the bottle. Lets see how many days it last (after all that is the real test.)
