misfit

I took these before I got sick and this particular morning was very cold and windy. I am posting them though, because we are having 40 mph winds and they are predicted to sick around through tonight. I'm not sure my hair can take a beating like that, let alone my tripod.

I don't know what compelled me to put this outfit together. But, I wore it with confidence. Or is that attitude?

outfit details:
button up- Lucky Brand
jeans- French Connection
belt- American Eagle (old)
boots- Russell & Bromley

I wanted to wear this flannel Lucky Brand button up before it gets too warm but I just felt like a country girl. I guess living in Idaho I should be okay with that, but I'm not. This is a "do not repeat" outfit in my book. In spring I can see it with short shorts and wedges. Can someone remind me of that in about two months please?!

I don't even want to start in about my lopsided bun today okay?

Cheers,
B

When I woke up I felt tired and lazy but knew I had to get going. After a cup of coffee I was still feeling tired and wanted to jump back into my cozy bed and pretend I had a fireplace to keep me warm and feel festive. This was of course not an option, I had a little girl’s birthday party to attend after all.

I went with an easy no brainer look; red lips, darker eyebrows, topknot, glasses and big comfy cardigan. I show up at the party and felt over dressed. Yes, I wrote OVER dressed. I was completely out of place amongst babies, kids, teens, men and women. You see I was the only one not wearing Uggs and/or a a hoodie with a team logo of sports. I guess I still have some work to do to get used to the way things are done in Idaho.

outfit details:
tee- Jockey
cocoon cardigan- Armani Exchange ( I got a killer deal on it!)
jeans- French Connection
scarf- I don't remember when I picked it up
boots- Stuart Weitzman
lipstick- Chanel Rouge Coco in Gabrielle
Cheers to a lovely weekend,

i am in a whirlwind, or a whirlpool.

pink under shirt: American Eagle. sweater: French Connection. skirt: Club Monaco. tights: Flake. wedges: Jeffrey Campbell.

I woke up this morning thinking I needed a cocktail dress. The next minute the good old bf said no that I need an evening gown. And not just any evening gown. A simple, conservative, and non-attention drawing one. That is where is got tricky. Then he said an Armani type suit was what I needed. Then at school he texted me and said I needed a cocktail dress or evening gown. While shopping for an evening gown I got another text saying the Armani type suit would be best. I am going to some event that I don’t know and clearly he doesn’t either. So I have no idea what I am supposed to wear to this thing. Maybe I will bring all three options. Good plan right? My sister and I are still in the trenches of moving and setting up her new place. So in lieu of an outfit post here is a look into my jungle shoot at my mom's house. Photos taken by my amazing sister. Don't worry, I returned the favor. She now has a slew of mom's jungle house photos. Photo shoots with my sister always entails a hoot of a time. We usually end up laughing so hard, people stare, but really we think they are just jealous that they are not included in our fun. :-)

Today was a crazy day of packing and traveling. I am in Munich for the night and off to a little city called Amberg where I am told if I even get cell phone reception that I am lucky. Fun. Fun.
I took the train to Munich from Hamburg today and one complaint (besides the one about me typing with a German key board right now.) This man came out of the bathroom and it was stinky. To top it off he didn't put down the toilet seat. Two unpleaseantries in one. Yuck.
I did work out today hence the crazy punching scences. It was a mixture of working out and wearing fingerless gloves. I felt powerful and fearless. That could also come from my giant wind blown hair.
