let the planning begin

Full well knowing it was winter temperatures outside, I still left the house with shorts sleeves. I have yet to figure out what was going on with my brain when I made that decision. I was only cold, worse things in life have happened.

I leave to go back to Germany for a month on Friday, which means I have to start packing. Traveling in the winter is rough since you usually have to pack bulky items to stay warm and two coats and snow shoes. Since it’s Christmas that means I will have to pack presents in my suitcase as well. My goal is to pack thirty clothing items (including my holiday party stuff) and a few pairs of shoes and call it good. Writing it makes it sound easy but I know this is will be a task for sure.

my neighbors’ colorful broom

I love taking photos in this little space between our support beam for our balcony and the neighbors’ ugly green fence. However, as of late I have been avoiding it because of a little yellow and blue friend that slips over on to our side of the balcony. Now I am not one to possessive or anything and normally I wouldn’t care but this for some strange reason drives me up the bloody wall. See I don’t ever say bloody but this broom is making me someone I am not.

Today however, I was wearing blue and a little yellow so I braved it over there and with out viciously knocking the broom over I made it through my little photo session. It didn’t bite me, yell at me or even throw anything at me so I still can not explain why it being a few inches in my way gets my blood boiling. Also today I went shopping, again, for a dress for Friday night. Three large stores and at least ten dresses later my hair is in disarray and I have yet to find a dress. This event may have me showing up in my birthday suit. Cheers Dears, Bre

blazer: Mango. shirt& heels: Miu Miu. trousers: Maje. necklace: Hallhuber.

It was such a fabulous day today; the sun was high and it was a whopping 48 degrees Fahrenheit. That is dang warm for my parts! The day started with an event of a birthday from a famous author here, Siegfried Lenz. The President of Germany an the Chief Editor of Elle Germany was there. As much fun as it sounded, I only understood about 50 percent of what was said in three hours.

After that I met up with a girlfriend who lives in Düsseldorf. We basically went café hopping and then out for Indian food. So much fun I tell you. I love good company. Tomorrow it’s back to school and real life.

Don’t forget to look at the moon tonight. Not only is it a full moon, it’s close to Earth. It already being nighttime and dark here, I must say it’s quite breathtaking.

This is how I got from the green electrical box to the white truck. See how my dad just stands there and allows the boyfriend to handle me. No really it was fun until it started to hurt my stomach

dress: F21. blazer: Club Monaco. belt and necklace: Hallhuber. tights: H&M. boots: Stuart Weizman. ring & watch: gift.

This was me yesterday three hours before I lost my voice and had a major sore throat. Five hours before I completely felt like crud. Dear Readers, this poses a very good question. Before I get to that though so background information. I was feeling fine and had a little time to catch up on a few blogs when I read that one of those bloggers was sick. No one around me here is sick, no one at all. So you see a fine and able-bodied person reads online that a fellow blogger is sick and bam, sickness splatters all over her. I swear this is twice now that this has happened. Conspiracy anyone?
So today I plan on doing what I am doing this very minute. Lying in a Lazy Boy, watching The History Channel, and drinking tea. I just fancy the The History Channel don’t you? It makes me feel somewhat smart while lying around, just a pinch.
I just herd talk of bowling later today and I think that may b the trick to get me out of this Lazy Boy, and into some awesome shoes! I’ll keep you posted.
p.s. Yes, this is the same blazer I wore on Christmas. Like I said here, I was only packing so many items and I am glad I did. I am filling the extra space rather quickly.
