this was yesterday's outfit: sweater- Anthro, necklace- Banana Republic (old), jeans- G-Star, boots- Steve Madden (2yrs old)

Hey guys, I am SUPER bummed. I studied really hard for an exam I had today and I got my score back. It's a C. C's are not good enough for me. I mean I studied my buns off. I even skipped watching Smash last night so I could go over my problem areas yet again. I didn’t cram so why the lame grade? I am so frustrated. I know it’s not the end of the world, but I feel it’s the end of my college career. I am being overly hard on myself right now? I mean how would you feel if you were in my shoes? What would you do? I want to therapy shopping, but my list of homework and studying just keeps growing. Ahhh, I am ready for spring break already!!!
I hope you are having a better day then I.
xoxo,
B

  1. Oh Bre, you are being hard on yourself. You worked hard so you know that you did your best. Talk it over with your tutor if you still feel the same in a few says. In the meantime relax and give yourself a break.
On the subject of your outfit... Love it, every last detail.

  2. Ugh that sucks! That happened to me on several occasions :( I'm sure you'll recover from it though! Those are the kinds of things you forget about after a few weeks, though, so that's good. Hope you feel better!

Also, I love those shoes :)

  3. Well in style you get an A+! Not sure if that makes you feel any better, it's disappointing to work hard and not get what you expected but hey C is still passing right? And in the real world when your all done and graduated that C will be distant memory.

  4. I don't blame you for being hard on yourself. And I don't think its a bad thing that you are unhappy with your grade. It means you need to change up what you're doing. Try some different study tactics. Do you have a copy of the test? Try looking at what you did wrong and see if there is any kind of pattern. See a tutor. Talk to your professor. Make flashcards (my favorite). The best thing to do with a bad grade is learn from it!

  5. Oh I'm sorry Bre, I don't blame you for being hard on yourself. It sucks to not do as well as you hope for. Maybe you were just over thinking it, I know sometimes when I study over and over and over, I get the test and then blank out. Maybe you should take a little break and then go back to it.

PS you look amazing!! This is definitely one of my favorites, I love those boots!

  6. I love that sweater and the way you half tucked it in. So chic! Those booties are fierce as well. I was always tough on myself in college too. You will be fine. Chin up!

  7. I hate it when this happens. So when things build up and I get stressed, I break everything down and write a list of things. The list may seem long at first but if you break each task up into smaller things you get to cross things out more often! It's a good feeling. And at least you know you look good doing it!

  9. Don't worry! One grade does not define you. You'll do better next time! Love the outfit.

  10. That statement necklace is absolutely gorgeous! The wind makes you look so sultry. :)

That is too bad about the C. But you win some and you lose some in college... even if you worked your ass off. Perhaps going over your problem areas with a tutor might help? Good luck getting that list of homework and studying down to something manageable!
